A 9in seamless base short, meant to be worn under the Grind shorts or on their own.
Same circular knit as the Base top, with a wide bonded waistband that sits flat under a belt and does not roll on a hinge. Gusseted, and cut long enough in the leg that it does not creep on a squat.
Black only. A pale compression short goes translucent when it is wet, and we would rather not sell one.
The specification
Everything we know about this item, stated plainly. The same record is printed on the card in the box.
- Fit
- CUT SMALL, on purpose — take your normal size. 9in inseam, 28in waist at M stretching to 38in, on a 2.5in bonded waistband. Gusseted crotch.
- How it ages
- As the Base top: the elastane sets the life of the garment, and heat shortens it. The bonded waistband is the other wear point — it will not fray, but a bond that has been through a hot dryer can lift at an edge and cannot be re-bonded.
- Composition
- 72% recycled nylon, 28% elastane, seamless circular knit
- Colourways
- Black
- Weight
- 180gsm — light but dense. Fully opaque in black, wet or dry.
- Made
- Knitted and finished in South Korea.
Measured flat, in inches
| Size | Waist | Inseam |
|---|---|---|
| S | 25 | 9 |
| M | 28 | 9 |
| L | 31 | 9 |
| XL | 34 | 9 |
Chest is measured pit to pit and doubled. Length is the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Waist is the relaxed waistband, measured flat and doubled. Inseam is the crotch seam to the hem. Measure a garment you already wear and compare — that is more reliable than measuring yourself.
Care
- Machine wash cold, inside out.
- Hang to dry. Never tumble dry.
- No fabric softener, no bleach.
Cautions
- Snags on velcro and on a rough collar, same as the Base top.
- Not a medical compression garment and not a sauna garment.
- Not swimwear — chlorine destroys elastane faster than anything else on this list.
