A 7in training short in a light four-way-stretch woven with a ripstop grid through it. The grid is there so a scuff off a bench or a rack stops at a thread instead of running.
There is no liner. That is a decision, not an omission: a liner in a short this length traps heat exactly where you do not want it and doubles the drying time. Wear what you already wear under it.
Zip pocket on the right seam, deep enough for a phone and positioned so it does not swing on a run. Elastic waist with a flat drawcord that does not dig in under a belt.

- Fit
- True to size, straight leg. 7in inseam measured from the crotch seam. Waist is elastic with a drawcord and gives about 2in either way. Thigh is cut wide enough to squat in without riding.
- How it ages
- A woven does not pill and does not bag out at the knee. The elastic in the waistband is the wear item — expect it to relax after a year of heavy use, which is why there is a drawcord. The ripstop grid stays visible for the life of the garment.

Chest is measured pit to pit and doubled. Length is the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Waist is the relaxed waistband, measured flat and doubled. Inseam is the crotch seam to the hem. Measure a garment you already wear and compare — that is more reliable than measuring yourself.
Care
- Machine wash cold. It is dry in about 30 minutes on a hanger.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not iron the ripstop face — heat flattens the grid.
Cautions
- No liner. Read that twice before you order.
- Not water-resistant. A ripstop weave is about tear strength, not rain.
- Louder against the leg than a knit short. If you want silence, it is the wrong short.
- Olive is a dry-clean-nothing colour: it holds its dye well but sun-protection products will bleach a permanent mark into it.
