A 38 litre gym duffel in a heavy coated ripstop, with a separate ventilated pocket at one end for wet kit and a flat sleeve on the back panel that clears a padlock.
Webbing handles bar-tacked at four points and a removable shoulder strap. The base is a second layer of the same fabric with no seam running under the load, because that seam is where a bag fails.
Deliberately unbranded on the outside — the only mark is a woven label inside the main compartment.
The specification
Everything we know about this item, stated plainly. The same record is printed on the card in the box.
- Fit
- 22in long, 11in tall, 11in deep. Fits inside the sizer for most carry-on allowances but check your airline — we make no claim about a specific one.
- How it ages
- The coating is the wear item: it will craze along the fold lines at the ends after a couple of years and eventually flake, which is cosmetic until it reaches a seam. Zips are a standard gauge and replaceable. The bar-tacked handles are the part we expect to outlive the bag.
- Composition
- 600D recycled polyester ripstop with a polyurethane coating; nylon webbing; corrosion-resistant zips
- Colourways
- Black
- Weight
- 780g empty. 38 litre main compartment plus a 4 litre end pocket.
- Made
- Cut and sewn in Vietnam.
Care
- Wipe out with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash — it will crack the coating.
- Empty the wet pocket and leave it open to dry.
- Do not store it packed and damp.
Cautions
- Not waterproof. The wet pocket is ventilated, which means it drains and breathes rather than sealing.
- No laptop compartment and no padding. It is a gym bag.
- Machine washing destroys the coating.
